The Centro de Educação Física Almirante Adalberto Nunes – CEFAN is located in the city of Rio de Janeiro, capital of the state of Rio de Janeiro (Southeast Region of Brazil). The venue was refurbished in 2011. It provides accommodation on site and is suitable for Football, Athletics and Beach Volleyball. It has hosted a number of international sporting events.

The Centre features a diving pool and a heated 50m pool, a temperature controlled multi-purpose arena, athletics tracks, two football pitches and four beach volleyball courts. The venue accommodates 394 people and offers physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation services for athletes. Rooms for strength and conditioning, first aid, medical treatment, physiotherapy and massage, a rest area and a restaurant, meeting/briefing and multimedia rooms and a private team management office are also available. The venue has controlled access and security personnel on site.

Experience in sporting events:

The Centro de Educação Física Almirante Adalberto Nunes – CEFAN has hosted a number of international sporting events, such as the 5th Military World Games in 2011. Prominent athletes associated with the venue include Jadel Gregório and Ana Claudia Lemos, in Athletics, and Tânia Maria Pereira Ribeiro (Tânia Maranhão) and Andréa dos Santos (Maycon), in Women's Football.
