In 2005, the AMAN hosted the Campeonato Brasileiro de Pentatlo Moderno (Brazilian Modern Pentathlon Championship). Every year, the academy takes part in NAVAMAER, a national level competition among the Brazilian Army, Navy, and Air Force Academies, covering Athletics, Basketball, Fencing, Football, Judo, Swimming, Shooting and Volleyball.
