The Minas Tênis Clube is located in the city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais state (Southeast Region of Brazil). The venue is suitable for Basketball, Volleyball, Judo, Swimming, Artistic Gymnastics and Trampoline training and is experienced in hosting regional, national and international level sporting events.

The venue offers 470,000m² divided into four areas, five multi-purpose courts, an arena, an artistic gymnastics hall with a trampoline, and a judo training arena. The venue has rooms for strength and conditioning, first aid, medical treatment, physiotherapy and massage. Also available are sauna and steam rooms, meeting/briefing and multimedia rooms, a private team management office, a restaurant, a café and a rest area. The venue has controlled access and security personnel on site.

Experience in sporting events:

The Minas Tênis Clube hosted the 2007 and 2008 Liga Sul-Americana de Basquete (South American Basketball League) and the 2011 Troféu José Finkel de Natação (National Swimming Championship). The club has also hosted different events of the Swimming World Cup between 2004 and 2008, as well as games of the Ligas de Voleibol and Basquetebol (Volleyball and Basketball League).

Noteworthy athletes associated with the venue include judokas Luciano Corrêa, 2007 world Judo champion in the under 100kg weight division and gold medallist at the Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games; Hugo Pessanha, team gold medal at the 2011 Jogos Mundiais Militares (Military World tournament); Érika Miranda, vice champion of the Rio 2007 Pan American Games and the Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games, in the under 52kg weight division; and Ketleyn Quadros, bronze medallist at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in the under 57kg weight division.

In Swimming, noteworthy athletes include Nicolas Oliveira, gold medallist of the 4x100m medley relay and 4x200m freestyle relay events at the Rio de Janeiro 2007 Pan American Games, and of the 4x100m freestyle relay at the Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games; and Rodrigo Castro, gold medallist of the 4x200m freestyle relay at the Rio de Janeiro 2007 Pan American Games. In the adult team category of Volleyball, noteworthy athletes include Anderson de Oliveira, two-time world champion (2002 and 2006), gold medallist at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, and six-time winner of the FIVB Volleyball World League (2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007); Henrique Randow, world champion (2002) and of the FIVB Volleyball World League (2001, 2003 and 2004); and Marcelinho Elgarten, world champion (2002 and 2006), silver medallist at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, and five-time winner of the FIVB Volleyball World League (2001, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007).

Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais state, is located approximately 434km from Rio de Janeiro, and sits at an average altitude of 852m above sea level. The city has a population of 2,375,444 (IBGE index) and is a key representative in the Brazilian sports scenario, having hosted events such as the Volta Internacional da Pampulha (Pampulha International Cycling Circuit).
