The Centro de Treinamento de Canoagem de Piracicaba is located in the city of Piracicaba, São Paulo state (Southeast Region of Brazil). The venue is suitable for Canoe Sprint and Canoe Slalom training and is experienced in hosting regional, state and national level sporting events.

The venue includes two training sites. The first is Parque da Rua do Porto, a park featuring a 500m lake and an equipment storage shed. The second site is located just 100m away, by the Rio Piracicaba (Piracicaba River), which offers Class 1 and Class 5 rapids specifically for Canoe Slalom training. The centre has meeting/briefing and multimedia rooms, a private team management office, and a rest area. Access is controlled, with security personnel on site.

Experience in sporting events:

The Centro de Treinamento de Canoagem de Piracicaba hosted the 1º Open de Canoagem em Corredeiras (1st Canoe tournament) in 2005. It has hosted the Campeonato Paulista de Canoagem Slalom em Corredeiras (Canoe Slalom tournament) since 2000.

Noteworthy athletes associated with the venue include Filipi Santin Souza, who represented Brazil in international competitions between 2001 and 2008; Maíra Marques Cotrim, who competed for Brazil in K1 championships in 2005, 2007 and 2009; and more recently, Pedro Aversa and Rafael Souza (C-2 Category) and Thiago Saldanha Serra (C-1), members of the Brazilian National Squad. Athletes who started their career at this venue include Álan Schmidt and Ricardo Pacheco (six-time C-2 champions in Brazil between 1999 and 2005, and Brazilian National Squad members in 2001, 2003 and 2005), Thiago Lavoura and Victor Maroso (champions of the 2003 Pan-American Games), Ivan Vendemiatti (Brazilian champion - Youth in the 2004 K1 championship) and Leonardo Bueno (Brazilian vice-champion - Youth in the 2008 K1 championship).

Piracicaba is located in São Paulo state and has a population of 364,872 (IBGE index). One of the city's main attractions is its ecologically reserved forest, Horto Florestal de Tupi. The city sits at an average altitude of 546m above sea level and is approximately 589km from Rio de Janeiro.
