The SESC – Serviço Social do Comércio - Unidade Taubaté is located in the city of Taubaté, in a region of São Paulo state known as the Vale do Paraíba (Southeast Region of Brazil). It has a total area of 40,000m² and provides infrastructure for Tennis, Wheelchair Tennis and Football 5-a-side training.

The venue features areas appropriated for strength and conditioning, first aid and medical treatment, meeting, briefing and multimedia rooms, a private team management office, restaurant and café. It also provides a rest area for athletes, as well as an exclusive sports equipment safekeeping area.

The SESC – Serviço Social do Comércio franchise is composed of 32 units located throughout the state of São Paulo. The majority encompasses cultural centres and sports complexes. The organization also executes initiatives concerning social tourism and health programs, environmental education, digital inclusion and fight against hunger.

About the city:

The city of Taubaté is located in the eastern region of São Paulo state, in a region known as the Vale do Paraíba and borders Rio de Janeiro state. With a population of 278,686 (IBGE index), it is one of ten most populated cities in the countryside of São Paulo state.

Taubaté sits at an average altitude of 577m above sea level and is 300km from the city of Rio de Janeiro. Among the city’s main attributes, the most notable are its historic buildings, waterfalls and mountains such as the Cachoeira do Macuco and the Morro do Cruzeiro.
