The Clube Athletico Paulistano is located in the city of São Paulo, capital of the state that shares the same name (Southeast Region of Brazil). It was founded over 110 years ago and provides infrastructure for Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming, Water Polo and Football 5-a-Side training.

The sports complex features areas appropriated for strength and conditioning, first aid, medical treatment, physiotherapy and massage, meeting and multimedia rooms, private team management offices, a sports equipment safekeeping area, café and a rest area for athletes.

The club is deeply rooted in the tradition of revealing high performance athletes. Several names of the athletes revealed by the club include Amaury Passos and Marcelo Huertas (Basketball), José Montanaro Jr., Paulo Sevciuc, Deraldo Pinheiro, Ivonete das Neves and Eugênio Silberberg (Volleyball).

Experience in sporting events:

The Club Athletico Paulistano is experienced in hosting Brazilian and international sporting events. Among the more recent competitions held at the club, the most notable were the Liga Nacional de Pólo Aquático (Brazilian Water Polo championship) and the Novo Basquete Brasil (Men’s Brazilian Basketball championship).

São Paulo, capital of the state that shares the same name, has a population of 11,244,369 (IBGE index), making it the most populated city in Brazil. It is located 440km from Rio de Janeiro and sits at an average altitude of 792km above sea level. The city offers a wide range of attractions such as city and state parks, natural attributes like the Pico do Jaraguá, historic buildings, museums and cultural centres and is the stage for large-scale international events.
