

The Iate Clube Brasileiro is located in the city of Niterói, in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro state (Southeast Region of Brazil). The club was founded in 1906 and provides infrastructure for Sailing training.
The venue features areas appropriated for strength and conditioning, first aid, medical treatment, physiotherapy and massage, meeting and briefing rooms and a private team management office. It also features a restaurant, café, multimedia room and relaxation area for athletes. The club is available on an exclusive use basis.
The yacht club will be the headquarters of the Centro de Treinamento de Vela do Rio de Janeiro during the Women's Match Race Event, an event where 9 high performance yachtswomen compete. The club also participates in social initiatives in partnership with the Brazilian and International Olympic Committees (BOC and IOC, respectively) and with the Brazilian Sailing and Motor Confederation (Confederação Brasileira de Vela e Motor - CBVM).
Experience in sporting events:
The Iate Clube Brasileiro is experienced in hosting regional and Brazilian sporting events such as the 2008 Brazilian Championship in the Optimist class, and the 2009 State Championships in the Optimist and Laser classes.
