The Ginásio de Esportes do Taquaral is headquartered in the city of Campinas, in the countryside of São Paulo state (Southeast Region of Brazil). It was inaugurated in 1960 and is used for Volleyball practice.

The venue offers a strength and conditioning room and an infrastructure equipped with first aid, physiotherapy and massage rooms. There are also exclusive meeting and briefing rooms, private rooms for team management, a café on site and structure for a rest area, multimedia room and controlled access by security personnel on site.

The gymnasium is the main stage for Brazilian and international sporting events of the city of Campinas. City teams have already revealed high performance athletes such as Vera Mossa, Maurício Lima and Bruno Rezende (Volleyball).

Experience in sporting events:

The Ginásio de Esportes do Taquaral is experienced in hosting Brazilian and international sporting events. Since 2010, it hosted some Superliga Masculina de Vôlei games (Brazilian Volleyball League) and, in 2011, the Torneio Internacional de Vôlei Feminino (International Women's Youth Volleyball Tournament).

About the city:

Campinas has a population of 1,080,999 (IBGE index), making it one of the largest cities in the countryside of São Paulo state. It is located near the capital, sits at an average altitude of 640m above sea level and is 490km from Rio de Janeiro.
