Arena Santos is located in the city of Santos, on the southern coastline of São Paulo (Southeast Region of Brazil), and was built in October 2010. Despite its brief existence, this venue is fully capable of hosting international sporting events and offers training structures for various sports such as Basketball, Wheelchair Basketball, Volleyball, Sitting Volleyball, Handball, Goalball and Wheelchair Rugby.
The venue provides infrastructure to receive delegations, including on-site accommodation, 118 parking spaces and meeting/briefing rooms (private and multimedia). It also includes a restaurant, café, strength and conditioning room, first aid room, rest area for athletes and security.
Experience in sporting events:
Currently, the Arena Santos is used on a daily basis as a training venue for the city’s high performance athletes and teams. Due to this sports venue being a public area, it is widely used for a Judo social project and is also used by Brazilian confederations for training sub-professional teams, such as the Brazilian Youth Basketball Team. The arena has already hosted large-scale sporting events, the most notable was the Women's World Championship 2011 - BRA (Handball).
