The Estádio do Pará - Jornalista Edgar Proença is located in the city of Belém, Pará state (North Region of Brazil). The venue first opened in 1978 and was refurbished in 2001. It is suitable for Athletics training and is experienced in hosting international sporting events.

The venue offers an IAAF Certified track, warm-up area, and a long jump, high jump and pole vault area. It also features first aid and medical treatment rooms, a rest area and a café. The venue has controlled access and security personnel on site.

Experience in sporting events:

The stadium has hosted a number of international level sporting events. The Grand Prix de Atletismo (Athletics Grand Prix) has taken place at this venue since 2002. Noteworthy athletes that train at the venue include Paralympic athlete Alan Fonteles.
