The Complexo Esportivo Ney Braga, located in the city of São José dos Pinhais, Paraná state (South Region of Brazil), is experienced in hosting national and international level sporting events. The venue is suitable for Basketball, Handball and Wheelchair Basketball training.

The sports complex first opened in 1980, and was refurbished in 2010. It features a multi-purpose arena and first aid, medical treatment, physiotherapy and massage rooms. Meeting/briefing and multimedia rooms and a private team management office are also available. It also offers a café and rest area. The venue has controlled access and security personnel on site.

The Complexo Esportivo Ney Braga is experienced in hosting national and international level sporting events – including the 2001 Campeonato Brasileiro de Basquetebol Feminino (Women's National Basketball championship); in 2004, Pan-Americano de Handebol (Pan American Handball tournament) and Sul-Americano de Handebol (South American Handball tournament); in 2005, Campeonato Brasileiro de Basquetebol Masculino (Men’s National Basketball championship); and state round of Jogos Abertos (Open Games) in 2011.

Athletes associated with the venue include Ana Jéssica Pinto and Natália Saar. Both made the Brazilian National Team in 2008, and played the 2009 Copa América (Americas tournament) and the 2010 Campeonato Sul-Americano de Basquetebol (South American Basketball championship).

São José dos Pinhais is located in the eastern region of Paraná state (South Region of Brazil), in the metropolitan region of Curitiba and sits at an average altitude of 900m above sea level. The city is located 858km from Rio de Janeiro in a spring area (water supply reserve) and has a population of 264,210 (IBGE index). São José dos Pinhais is part of an ecosystem known as the Araucárias Forest (Floresta das Araucárias), one of the areas which comprise the Atlantic Rainforest.
