The Associação Niteroiense dos Deficientes Físicos (ANDEF) is located in the city of Niterói, Rio de Janeiro state (Southeast Region of Brazil). The venue is suitable for Football 5-a-side training. Since its opening in 2002, ANDEF is experienced in hosting international level sporting events.
In partnership with the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB), ANDEF trains children and young athletes to compete in national and international level sporting events such as the World Tournaments and the Paralympic Games.
The venue features accommodation on site, a parking area, changing rooms, a heated hydrotherapy pool, and a synthetic grass Football pitch. It offers first aid, medical treatment, physiotherapy and massage rooms, as well as meeting/briefing and multimedia rooms and a private team management office. A restaurant, a café and a rest area are available. The venue has controlled access and security personnel on site.
Experience in sporting events:
Noteworthy international sporting events hosted at ANDEF include the 2005 Mundial de Futebol de Amputados (World Amputee Football tournament), and the 2011 II Desafio de Futebol de 5 para Cegos (Football 5-a-side event for the Blind). The acclimatisation of Cuban athletes for the Rio 2007 Para-Pan American Games was carried out at this venue.
