Lysmara Pinheiro is HIV positive and was invited to carry the Rio 2016 Olympic Torch in order to combat prejudice against people with the illness. "I am here for all the people who have been discriminated against for being HIV positive," she said.

Piripiri
In Piripiri, the second destination of the day, the Olympic torch will visit the state university of Piauí, a resevoir known as Caldeirão (the Cauldron), where fish are farmed for the consumption of the region's population, among other curiosities.
