Águas Minerais Park in Paraíba do Sul was packed today as it received the Olympic flame. The last torchbearer, Brazilian swimmer Beto Brasil, left a message. "Practice sport. It's the best thing in the world."

Elmacyra Fiúza was the first physical education teacher in Paraíba do Sul. She started teaching in the city in 1945 at 19 years old. She retired in 1996, aged 70. Today, at 90, she carried the Olympic torch in the city cheered on by former students.
