Rudá Franco started his water polo career in Jundiaí. Confirmed to compete at Rio 2016, the athlete was a torchbearer in his city today. "I always dreamed of being an Olympic athlete, but I never imagined I would carry the torch," he said.

Paula is one of the biggest names in Brazilian women's basketball. She won gold at the 1991 Pan American Games in Havana and silver at Atlanta 1996. "I started to play here. Carrying the torch here has a lot of significance for me," she said.

Marcel de Souza is a basketball legend. He is the second-highest scorer for the Brazilian nation team, behind only Oscar, and has played at four editions of the Olympic Games. This Thursday (21 July) he carried the torch in Jundaí.
