Hundreds of people gathered in the main square of Irauçuba to get a glimpse of the Olympic Torch and enjoy some of the traditional country dancing that is so popular in this part of Brazil.

Nothing like a good party to try out a new look. These girls from Irauçuba decided to dress up in Greek-style togas to celebrate the visit of the Olympic Torch.

Handball player Mickelline Oliveira said she was as nervous with the Olympic Torch today as she is before going out to compete. "When I don't feel nervous, I think it will be time give up."
