Francisco de Oliveira Amorim is an ambassador of martial arts in Imperatriz. He was a student of master Ochizo Machida, father of famous fighter Lyoto Machida. "I've represented Brazil with karate. I hope the sport becomes an Olympic one soon."

José Bonifácio Ribeiro is famous singer in his state of Tocantins and is the son of one of the oldest fisherman in the region. Author of 12 books and CDs is inspiration is the Tocantins river which crosses four states.
