Don’t miss out! If you are a Brazilian resident, go to the ticket page and choose your session. As of June, all remaining tickets will also be available for purchase directly from Rio 2016 ticket offices.
Payment
Rio 2016 tickets can only be purchased using Visa cards or the Rio 2016 Virtual Payment Solution. It is a prepaid virtual card sent to your email address that is quick and easy, with no added fees. FOR MORE INFORMATION
You will also be able to make cash purchases at the ticket offices.
Not a Brazilian Resident?
If you are not a Brazilian resident, you must purchase your tickets from an authorised reseller in your country. Check the list of Rio 2016 Authorised Resellers around the world. SEE THE LIST
Check List
Once you have your ticket, confirm your session’s date, time and venue on our online schedule. Don’t forget to do a final check on the day to ensure nothing has changed. You should also find out, in advance, the best way to get to your venue and how long it will take.
Resale
Find out you can’t make it only after buying your ticket? If your purchase was made through the official ticket website, Rio 2016 will help you to resell it quickly, easily and securely. After the Games, Rio 2016 will return 100% of the amount paid for any tickets resold, with no fees charged for this service. CLICK HERE

Half-price Tickets
Half-price tickets are available for the following Brazilian residents:
* Those aged over 60 and wheelchair users (accompanied or not): for all the price categories
* Students, Rio de Janeiro public school teachers, those with disabilities who are not wheelchair users, those with reduced mobility and the obese: half-price for the lowest price category
PLEASE NOTE: Proof of eligibility for the half-price discount is required for entry to the venue. If you are not eligible for the discount, you will not be allowed entry even if you hold a half-price ticket. The discount is not cumulative.
Free Entry
Children under the age of two (who have not had their 2nd birthday on the date of the event) are allowed free entry to all of the Rio 2016 sessions, but must be seated on an adult’s lap and are not entitled to a separate seat.
