For the first time ever, South America and Rio de Janeiro host the Olympic Games and Estácio could not be left out. Official Sponsor of the 2016 Rio Games, the institution promotes the unification of Education and Sports, which share the same values, at the service of social transformation. Thanks to its genuine involvement with sports and national capillarity, it was chosen to train the volunteers for the world's greatest sporting event: 50 thousand volunteers and over six thousand collaborators from Rio 2016 will be trained in person, in addition to other 85 thousand who have been employed and will be trained at a distance. In this enormous challenge of building 350 online contents, live and printed, 120 teachers from Estácio are directly involved from the most diverse areas of knowledge. This task involved a lot of organization, professionalism, and high quality standards. This was the recipe to assemble, still in 2015, the fifteen Volunteer Selection Centers, within Estácio units in several states in the country, as well as, now in 2016, six Volunteer Training Centers. The Rio 2016 Games project has been a great challenge for several areas in the institution, which are devoted to putting each requirement proposed by Rio 2016 into practice. Estácio is very proud to count with a team that works hard to strengthen the image of an innovative teaching institution, with high-level management and pioneering spirit in various initiatives. The Rio 2016 project is taking place now, but its benefits and legacy will remain for the future of Brazil, this institution and, in particular, its more than 500 thousand students, 9 thousand teachers and five thousand collaborators. The partnership with the Organizing Committee therefore confirms Estácio's mission: Educate to Transform!
