The fight against vehicle gas emissions is a global challenge. Brazil has one of the largest bio-fuel (clean fuel) programs in the world and the Transportation Plan for the Games foresees the use of environmentally correct fuels, technologies and transportation systems. The implementation of high capacity public transportation corridors will contribute to the reduction of private car use, thus collaborating towards reduced carbon gas emissions.
