Tom, the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games mascot, is the star of a brand-new app that launched this week for smartphone and tablet.
In ‘Tom’s Adventures’ the mascot has to find the three Carioca Sisters, Vida, Bela and Sol, somewhere in Rio de Janeiro. There are 24 levels to the game, set against four different Rio backdrops: the beach, the forest, the city and the Paralympic Games.
On each level, Tom has to collect coins and commemorative medals as well as icons representing all the 23 Paralympic sports that will be contested at Rio 2016.
Tom is a unique mix of Brazilian flora. In the app, to overcome any obstacles standing in his way and progress to the next level, Tom can pull out objects from within his exuberant head of hair.
As an ambassador of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, Tom believes that there are no barriers too big to overcome. The app forms part of Tom's mission of helping people search inside themselves for their very best.
The new app is available in English and Portuguese. It is compatible with Android and iOS.
