Triathlon is a three in one sport, but the heart of the athletes doesn’t have a separation. To salute the inexhaustible energy of the heroes who swim, ride and run without resting, Rio 2016™ publishes a series of special articles this week, following the tributes to Swimming, Athletics, Judo and Shooting.
The last two Olympic champions, the German Jan Frodeno and the Australian Emma Snowsill, talk about their careers, the Olympic victories and the expectation to the Games that will take place in a new continent, the South America.
Experts present the sport and celebrate the inclusion of Paratriathlon in the Paralympic Games as from Rio 2016, which will be one of the successes of the Games.
At last, in the GAMES’ MAKERS section of the website, get to know Bernardo Alvarenga, the Rio 2016 Organising Committee collaborator that has competed in Ironman, one of the most tradition – and hardest – competitions of the sport worldwide.
