Coca-Cola, Nissan and Bradesco – the official sponsors of the Rio 2016 Olympic Torch Relay – revealed on Wednesday (16 March) the first lists of torchbearers who will carry the Olympic flame around Brazil between May and August.

Find out all about the Olympic torch

The flame will be lit in the ancient Greek city of Olympia on 21 April and tour around Greece before being transported to Brazil. The relay will begin on 3 May in Brasília, the capital city, and visit 329 towns and cities during the 95-day event that will reach a climax on 5 August at the Maracanã Stadium, when the flame will be used to light the Olympic caludron at the opening ceremony.
