Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games Matrix of Responsibilities (APO)
On Tuesday 28th January, the Olympic Public Authority (APO in Portuguese) published the Rio 2016 Games Matrix of Responsibilities. The document details the contribution of each level of government – city, state and federal – in organising and holding the event, listing projects as well as responsibilities for implementing and supplying resources. The values and timelines of the 24 projects that have already had tenders or requests for proposal published, totalling R$ 5.64 billion, are listed in the matrix.
As a living document to be continually reviewed and updated, the matrix will be published biannually, with the aim of ensuring transparency and accountability.
