Germany are the latest team to qualify for the men's sitting volleyball tournament at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, after they finished second in the European championships, World ParaVolley has confirmed.
Bosnia and Herzegovina took the gold medal on Thursday (8 October) in Warendorf, Germany, but as they had already qualfied for Rio 2016 at the 2014 world championships, silver medallists Germany earned the Paralympic Games slot. Russia took bronze.
As well as Bosnia and Herzegovina, the German team joins Brazil, Iran, China, Egypt and USA as nations already confirmed for the men's sitting volleyball tournament at Rio 2016.
The women's European championships, which also offer a place at Rio 2016, will take place in Podčetrtek, Slovenia, on 7-5 November.
