The areas surrounding the new transportation corridors will benefit, resulting in direct benefits for the population, and the Jacarepaguá lagoons will also be recovered. Other project impacts on the city:
- Engenho de Dentro: renovation of the areas surrounding and giving access to João Havelange Stadium;
- Deodoro: renovation of the installations and access to the diverse installations by highway and public transportation, increased number of housing units
- Maracanã: construction of the new Water Park, Track and Field grounds, integrated terminal (train and subway), walkways giving access to Quinta da Boa Vista, liberation of the circulation area surrounding Maracanã, elevated loop surrounding the stadium, increase in the number of housing units
- Olympic Park: an area made available to practice sports near the Metropolitan Center, Rio 2, Morro do Outeiro and Ilha Pura that will gather more than 200 thousand people and also include a commercial and office building area in the Speedway region as well as the Metropolitan Center.
