Tips 4 Gringos: Street Food

By Rio 2016

Patrick and Elea sample some of the best bites to be found on the streets of the Olympic city

Tips 4 Gringos: Street Food

Rio2016.com’s video series “Tips 4 Gringos”* is back with its latest instalment, in which presenters Elea and Patrick provide tips on some of Rio’s best street food.

(*Disclaimer: Remember, 'gringo' is not an offensive term in Brazil, it is simply the word given to anyone that comes from abroad.)

As Rio de Janeiro welcomes the world for the Rio 2016 Games, Tips 4 Gringos has been made with the city’s visitors in mind. The video series will help tourists make the most of the carioca experience, featuring language advice, tips on where to party, where to take the best selfies and in this video, what kind of food you can hope to sink your teeth into on Rio’s streets.

Proving that Rio can also get a little chilly from time to time (yes it can dip below 20 degrees Celsius), presenter Patrick has wisely donned a scarf, though we aren’t too sure about his sartorial choice on this occasion. Check out “Tips 4 Gringos: Street Food” below.
