THE GREATEST CAREER CHALLENGE: Get to know the backgrounds of the Rio 2016 team and get your CV ready

The seven years between winning the right to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games and the delivery of the planet’s greatest sporting event are changing Rio forever. But that is not enough. The Rio 2016™ Organising Committee transforms lives all over the world. Professionals spread over five continents are moving to another city and to another country. They are far from their families; they give up opportunities and live many unusual situations in order to be part of this story.

This week, Rio 2016™ presents some of these curiosities and invites the reader to get to know details about the Games’ most valuable asset: its workforce. Two and a half years since the Committee’s foundation, get to know which job openings faced the harshest competition for the current 371 positions – some received over two thousand CVs! Get to know the chosen candidates and understand why they won the selection process.

You can also read about the background of the professionals that believed in the project since the bidding process to host the Games and about the secrets of those who climbed positions and may already celebrate their professional development in their careers’ greatest challenge.

As 2012 ends, the Organising Committee has 72 job openings (get to know more about the job openings and apply) Another 90 will be available in the first weeks of 2013 for many knowledge areas. Over 250 professionals will be hired until the end of next year.
