With tickets for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games now on sale, fans around the world will be analysing the competition schedule and deciding which events they want to see. Along with their sporting choices, spectators should also be considering which venues and which parts of the city they will be visiting. The Rio 2016 venues are clustered in four Games zones – Barra, Deodoro, Maracanã and Copacabana – each with its own character and charms.
“As well as the sports events, the zones offer various entertainment options, tourist attractions and gastronomy for all tastes. Focusing your daily activities in one place will optimise your time by avoiding journeys and ensure a complete experience,” said Hélio Cabral, Rio 2016’s spectator experience manager.
