The deadline for Brazilians and foreigners resident in Brazil to enter the second phase of ticket sales for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games arrives at midnight (Brasília time) on Sunday (19 July). Only those who applied in the first phase are eligible, with priority being given to those who were not successful.

Overseas fans can purchase tickets through the authorised ticket resellers (ATRs) in their countries (click here to find out who is the ATR in your territory).

Approximately three million tickets are available in the second phase of sales, covering 553 sessions, such as the individual rhythmic gymnastics final, men’s football semi-finals and the men’s doubles tennis semi-finals. In cases where the number of applications is larger than the number of tickets available, allocations will be made via a draw. The results of the draw will be released in August.

Rio 2016 ticketing diretor Donovan Ferreti said: “We still have tickets available for almost all sports. Only triathlon, synchronised swimming, road cycling and marathon swimming are totally sold out.”

Fans should log in to the ticketing portal, see which sessions are available and make their applications.

In order to take part in the second phase of ticket sales on the ticketing portal, you must have applied in the first phase, be over 18 and able to provide a Brazilian CPF number and permanent address in the Brazil.

The remaining tickets will go on sale online, on a first-come-first-served basis, to Brazilians and foreigners resident in Brazil in October, while box offices will open for sales and ticket collections in June.
