By Rio 2016

Representatives of the Organizing Committee attended PASO General Assembly that brings together 400 representatives from 42 countries

The Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games Rio 2016 will deliver its first official presentation on Thursday, November 5, at the General Assembly of the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO), in Guadalajara, Mexico. In the host city of the Pan American Games 2011, president Carlos Arthur Nuzman; the Secretary General Carlos Roberto Osório; and the International Relations Director Mário Cilenti will present the work plan the Organizing Committee of Rio 2016 Games has designed for the coming year.

On Tuesday, November 3, 400 hundred representatives, from 42 countries, convened for PASO Assembly. “We will thank the support from countries in the Americas to Rio’s bid to host 2016 Games. We will present the work completed since October 2, and the actions planned for 2010”, Carlos Arthur Nuzman explained.

On Friday the 6th, Nuzman will take part in the voting that will select the host city of 2015 Pan American games. The candidate cities are Bogota (Colombia), Lima (Peru) and Toronto (Canada).
