Rio 2016 confirms the city is ready to receive the Olympic and Paralympic games

Presentation held in the early afternoon in Copenhagen, Denmark, was the last given before the vote to decide the seat of the mega sports in 2016
Rio 2016 made the final presentation to host the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games to 106 members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) attending the 121st session in Copenhagen, Denmark . The Rio presentation, which lasted 45 minutes, was made in four languages (English, French, Spanish and Portuguese) and included three videos.
"This is our time and for us this will be a unique opportunity. The Olympic Games in Rio is a wish of the whole Brazilian state and the Brazilian people. We have all the guarantees requested by the IOC and we are investing in legacy," said President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
The Sports Minister Orlando Silva said the Rio 2016 campaign demonstrated Rios ability to host mega sports events. "Brazil is ready and Rio de Janeiro deserves to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games. We did everything possible to have the opportunity to organize an Olympics for the first time in South America.
"The Brazilian economy today is strong and the budget for the Games is fully guaranteed," confirmed Henrique Meirelles, chairman of the Central Bank of Brazil, pointing out that Brazil is the tenth largest economy in the world and has the 5th largest advertising market.
"Rio de Janeiro will benefit from the Olympic Games. It will be a great moment for the city will receive legacies by investment in infrastructure, social programs and public safety, the most important among them will be lifting of the esteem of the whole population. And the Olympic Movement will have its best partner, Rio is ready."
The mayor of Rio, Eduardo Paes, said the Rio 2016 bid is totally synchronized with the interests of the city. "The Games planning corresponds with the citys Master Plan. We will work really hard for the Games and leave important legacies for the population," he said Paes.
For the most senior member of the IOC, Joao Havelange, the Olympic Movement has enormous power to transform. "Holding of the Olympic Games has transformed cities, countries and the lives of millions of people."
Rio 2016 President, Carlos Arthur Nuzman said "Brazil is ready, Rio is ready. Rio offers action, guarantees and opportunity for the future,"
Rio 2016 General Secretary, Carlos Roberto Osorio, who presented the technical part of the project, the Games will change the face of Rio: "The challenge was to address all issues raised by the IOC. Rio has an excellent technical project," he said.
King Pele is also convinced of the potential of Brazilian bid. "We showed that Brazil and Rio de Janeiro are totally prepared." Isabel Swan offered her own experience as an Olympian for her support of Rio "Sport can change lives. Rio 2016 will inspire new talent and encourage participation in sport as a tool for social inclusion ".
