The Rio 2016 Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Brazilian Olympic Committee, in face of the episodes taking place in Rio de Janeiro, publicly express total support to the public security policy being firmly conducted by Governor Sérgio Cabral and Security Secretary, José Mariano Beltrame. We reiterate our full confidence in the peace project in Rio de Janeiro, which has been held under the leadership and authority of Governor Sérgio Cabral, through a careful and responsible planning in order to benefit all the population in the short, medium and long term. The support of the civil society and the population of Rio de Janeiro, at this moment, represents one more clear demonstration that the public security policies of the State Government is on its right way. We also reaffirm our full confidence in the excellence of the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games security project, designed in partnership with the federal, state and city governments and presented to the International Olympic Committee.
