The president of the Rio 2016™ Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games was on Thursday, December 15, presented with a special tribute by the Rio+Empreendedor 2011 award, organised by Lide Rio and Rio Negocios at the Copacabana Palace Hotel. The award honours companies, organisations, senior officials and public administrators responsible for relevant actions and projects towards the development of Rio de Janeiro.

The Rio 2016™ President was presented the award by Mayor Eduardo Paes, who praised the changes Rio has undergone since it was chosen as the host city for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. “Rio will be a prime example of transformation through the Games,”Nuzman said. The mayor highlighted the leadership role played by Nuzman in this process. “Staging the Games is what moves us forward. If our locomotive is moving, it is because Nuzman is driving it,” Paes stated.
