The line-up for the football 5-a-side tournament at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games has been completed after Morocco won the African qualifying tournament to claim the eighth and final spot.
Morocco defended their title at the African Blind Football Championships by beating host nation Cameroon 2-0 in the final in Douala, the International Paralympic Committee has confirmed.
Morocco’s Abderrazak Hattab finished as top scorer and was recognised with the player of the tournament award.
The Rio 2016 football 5-a-side tournament will take place at the Olympic Tennis Centre in Barra Olympic Park on 9-17 September.
Morocco will compete against host nation and world and Olympic champions Brazil, world championship runners-up Argentina, American continental qualifiers Mexico, European qualifiers Turkey and Russia, and Asian qualifiers China and Iran.
