Sports fans around the world can now start planning their trip to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games after the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and Rio 2016 Organising Committee announced the authorised ticket resellers (ATRs) for the event.

The IPC has signed a new partnership with Jet Set Sports with the aim of growing spectator attendance at the Paralympic Games. The company has become the IPC’s Global ATR and, along with its sister company CoSport, will offer a variety of individual ticket and package offerings for Rio 2016 within 162 territories outside of Brazil.

Six countries – South Africa, Austria, Great Britain, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands – will have their own specific ATRs offering Paralympic Games tickets, and Rio 2016 has published this list with contact details.

Fans in all countries that do not have their own ATR will be able to buy tickets and packages from Jet Sport Sports/CoSport from Monday (19 October). Individual tickets will be offered first as part of a request phase in order to afford fans time to familiarise themselves with the event. Shortly after the request phase, individual tickets will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Jet Set Sports will continue to work as the IPC Global ATR for the 2018 Pyeonchang Olympic Winter Games and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games.

“The Paralympic Games are now the world’s third biggest sporting event in terms of tickets sales and we are delighted to strengthen our offering to sport fans thanks to our new partnership with Jet Set Sports,” said Xavier Gonzalez, the IPC’s chief executive officer.

Overseas fans wanting to buy tickets to Rio 2016 Olympic Games should contact the ATR for their territory. Click here to see the full list.
