Thomaz Bellucci and Andre Sa scored a major upset on Sunday (7 August) night by knocking Great Britain's Jamie and Andy Murray out of the Rio 2016 doubles men's tournament after an epic tie-break.
The final score was 7-6 (8-6) 7-6 (16-14), with the Murrays saving six match points before Bellucci and Sa made the final breakthrough, to the home crowd's delight.
The Murray brothers are amongst the world's most accomplished players, with Jamie, a doubles specialist and current Australian Open champion, having been the world's highest-ranked male doubles player as recently as April 2016. Andy is the current Olympic and Wimbledon champion in the men's singles competitions.
Thomaz Bellucci has never been ranked higher than 70 in doubles tennis, while Andre Sa peaked at no. 17 in 2009, but the passionate home crowd helped them to put the Murrays under pressure from the start, before completing a memorable victory.
