Spectators with tickets to the tennis at Rio 2016 have been able to feast themselves on more than just high quality sport: since Monday (8 August), a whole fleet of food trucks has turned up at the venue to keep spectators content.
This weekend, food trucks are expected to start operating at other venues in Rio.
A relative novelty in Rio, seven food trucks are currently parked at the Olympic Tennis Centre. On a rainy Wednesday (10 August), with all matches called off, disappointed ticket holders were able to console themselves with healthy options such as pasta, fruit salads, sushi and veggie burgers, or classic Brazilian meat options. There is also a truck which serves churros, sweet pastries that are hugely popular in Brazil and the Latin world.

Small snack bars and restaurants have been serving food in Barra Olympic Park since the beginning of the Games. The food truck fleet has increased the range of choices available to visitors.
"It's great to have new options," said Roemara, mother of twins Paola and Beatrice, on the trio's third visit to the Olympic Park but the first time they had seen the food trucks. "There is more variety now and it also shortens the queues."

The food trucks will remain in the tennis venue until Sunday (14 August) before moving on to other venues. Other trucks will also arrive in the Olympic Park over the course of the Games.
