For those who were allocated tickets to watch the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in the first round of ticketing (which was only open to Brazilians and foreigners resident in Brazil) – time is running out to complete your payments! If you have not yet done so, you’re in extra time – the deadline for payments is today, Monday 29 June at 11:59pm. To date, 84% of ticket allocations have already been paid for, so don’t risk being left out of the biggest sporting event on the planet! Complete your purchase online at www.rio2016.com/ingressos.

Fans who do not complete their ticket payments by the end of today will not only lose their allocations, but they will also be ineligible to participate in the second draw, which opens Wednesday 1 July.

Read on to find out more about the next steps in the Rio 2016 ticket programme:

First Draw

- To change the number of your registered payment card, you can do so online at www.rio2016.com/ingressos.

- If you opted for the virtual payment solution, don’t forget to top up your account at https://olimpiadas.brasilprepagos.com.br/?lang=en. After your top-up has been confirmed, return to www.rio2016.com/ingressos and enter your virtual solution data, including the three-digit security code, as well as the other code you will have received via SMS to your mobile phone.

- If you are having problems completing your payment, email sac@tkthelp.rio2016.com.

- If you decide you don’t want or are unable to attend the sessions that you have purchased, don’t panic! From October you will be able to buy and sell tickets online via Rio 2016’s ticket resale forum at www.rio2016.com/ingressos. Once someone has bought your tickets, you will be given a full refund of the price you paid.

Second Draw

- The second round of ticketing opens Wednesday 1 July and runs until 17 July.

- Only Brazilians and foreigners resident in Brazil will be eligible to take part in the second draw. Furthermore, only those who participated in the first draw and were unsuccessful, or those who were awarded tickets and completed their payments successfully, will be able to apply in the second round.

- Those who applied but were not allocated tickets in the first round will have priority in the second.

- To participate in the second draw, make a new application online by selecting the sessions you wish to bid for.
