Casa Brasil (Brasil House) is now open in Beijing

There is already a 100% Brazilian space at the Beijing Olympic Games. On Tuesday, August 5, Brazilian and foreign journalists covering the XXIX Olympic Games visited Casa Brasil (Brasil House), a Brazilian promotion and advertisement center during the Olympic Games. The event  was attended by Brazilian Olympic Committee (BOC) and Rio 2016 Candidature Committee General Secretary Carlos Roberto Osório; BOC and 2016 Candidature Marketing Director Leonardo Gryner; Ministry of Sport Rio 2016 Special Secretary Ricardo Leyser; Embratur Tourism and Event Manager Flávia Malkini and Apex Image and Market Access Unit Manager, Silvia Lima.

Casa Brasil is now open to the public at the Jianguo Garden Hotel, on Beijing’s main avenue, until August 24. The site has been especially decorated highlighting tourist attractions,  showing Brazilian products and services and,  in a multimedia area, visitors can access information about Brazil.

At the opening event journalists had the opportunity to watch some of  the artistic performances that are part of  Casa Brasil’s program of attractions.  “This was just a sample of what we intend to present at this Brazilian space in Beijing. This is a special edition of Casa Brasil once, for the first time, a Brazilian city is among the  candidates cities  to host  the Olympic Games.   Casa Brasil will be a site for entertainment but also for promotion of our country in China”, explained Brazilian Olympic Committee (BOC) and Rio 2016 Candidature General Secretary Carlos Roberto Osório.
