TUNE IN NOW: BRAZILIAN DUO TARGET SEMIS
Could Brazil win an Olympic Games medal in tennis? The noisy crowd at the Olympic Tennis Centre seems to think so as they roar on Bruno Soares and Marcelo Melo in the men's doubles quarter-final against Romanian pair Florin Mergea and Horia Tecau.
The Romanians took the first set but Soares and Melo levelled things up with a 7-5 score in the second set. The decider is currently going with serve. Follow it here.

IN BETTER NEWS FOR USA FANS...
Their women's football team is currently 2-1 up against Colombia, who took a surprise lead in the first half through Catalina Usme.
But Crystal Dunn and Mallory Pugh scored either side of the break to keep the defending champions on course to maintain their 100 per cent record at these Games.

SERENA IS OUT!
A huge shock as world no.1 Serena Williams is beaten by 21-year-old Ukrainian Elina Svitolina in the women's singles tennis third round.
The defending champion, who lost 6-4, 6-3, was in tears as she left the court.

LET'S NOT GET TOO CARRIED AWAY THOUGH...
Serena has just broken back.

NO SUBSTITUTE FOR EXPERIENCE
This might look like a standard photo of three guys happily waving their equestrian bronze medals about, but we can reveal a fact about this picture that may surprise you. One of these men is 52 years old.
His name is Phillip Dutton, and he's the USA's oldest Olympic medallist since 1952, which is rather impressive. If you're finding it impossible to work out which man we're talking about, Dutton is the one on the right.

WHERE EAGLES DARE
This man brought a yellow-beaked friend along to the women's artistic gymnastics team final, with impressive results. The USA fan, Michael Tremblay from Boston, watched his heroes storm to gold, possibly spurred on by the sight of an enormous eagle's head watching them from the crowd.
"It was a celebration of American pride," Tremblay told Rio 2016. The eagle, meanwhile, said nothing. It didn't need to.

GRATITUDE
Ibtihaj Muhammad made history as the first USA woman to compete wearing a hijab. The fencer expressed her appreciation.
WHAT A GUY
Rio 2016 mascot Vinicius has been making friends across the city - all day, every day. Here he is getting stuck in to the action at the Deodoro live site as throngs of flag-waving fans cheered on their heroes in the rugby sevens. (Vinicius is the yellow guy in the middle, by the way).

DOWN AND OUT BUT NOT GONE
The biggest personality in rugby will stay strong and keep us all entertained but, sadly, not on the rugby sevens pitch. New Zealand powerhouse Sonny Bill Williams ruptured his Achilles tendon in an upset loss to Japan earlier today.
He will not return to play at Rio 2016 but sends you all a fist bump.
ALL BLACKS BOUNCE BACK, OBVIOUSLY
It doesn't matter how many players are in the team; you won't often find a New Zealand rugby team that loses two matches in a row. Following the shock defeat to Japan earlier, the All Blacks are back on track in the men's rugby sevens tournament after a 28-5 win against Kenya. The Kenyans were 5-0 ahead at one point, too.

JAPAN GO CLOSE TO ANOTHER UPSET
After conquering the All Blacks earlier, Japan's rugby sevens team have come a whisker away from another fine result against Great Britain at Deodoro Stadium.
Having scored a try with the final play of the match, Japan needed just the conversion to secure a 21-21 draw but the decisive effort was skewed wide of the posts.
Next up, New Zealand will be looking to make amends for that shock defeat as they face Kenya. It's not going to plan so far though - the African side are 5-0 ahead.
