RIO IS FABULOUS, SAY AMERICAN FANS
For Kristen Eisenhart, her husband Bruce and son Geoffrey, the Olympic Games are a family tradition. This is the sixth Games for the parents and the second for Geoffrey. So far, Rio 2016 is up there with the best of them.

"The Brazilian people have been so gracious and so welcoming and the entire Olympic expereince has been positive," Kristen Eisenhart says. "There's not a reason in the world to stay away because Rio's fabulous."

The family tradition started back in 1984 in Los Angeles.  "We were both students in that area," Kristen Eisenhart says. "USC was my alma mater and they were holding the Olympics right there so we attended just about everything we could."

And then came the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, Korea, where Bruce's parents lived at the time. After Seoul, the couple attended the 1992 Winter Olympic Games in Albertville, their only winter Olympic experience. Four years later, Geoffrey joined in on the fun.

Now in his second Olympic experience, Geoffrey, a competitive swimmer in northern Virginia, is especially looking forward to seeing what may be the last Olympic races of American swimmers Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte..But even if it is the swimmers' last lap, the Eisenharts plan on enjoying the Olympic Games in Rio and future games beyond.
