There's an expression in Brazil, "closing up with a golden key," and the host nation is certainly doing that at Rio 2016. The country's first ever Olympic gold in football, in the most dramatic of circumstances, will be the abiding memory of these Games for many Brazilians.
Today, the last day of competition, the country's volleyball players will try to emulate the football team in the gold medal match against Italy. We've also got gold medal matches in basketball and handball. First off though, the men's marathon and mountain bike events; the driving rain and wind in Rio de Janeiro this morning should make those two races especially interesting...
