TEARS OF JOY FOR UZBEKISTAN BOXER

You will not see a more emotional athlete reaction to an Olympic Games contest than the one we have just witnessed at Riocentro. Uzbekistan's Fazliddin Gaibnazarov broke down in tears at the end of his gold medal match against Azerbiajan's Lorenzo Sotomayor Collazo. It wasn't clear whether he thought he'd won or lost, but when the result came through - it was Gaibnazarov who was declared the champion. Collazo sunk to his knees in despair and the Uzbeki boxer broke down sobbing for a second time.

DENMARK 26-FRANCE 24

HANDBALL: THE BATTLE FOR GOLD
Denmark have a slight advantage, leading 21-19 over the reigning Olympic and world champions. But France have the firepower to get back into this.

GOLDEN FINISH FOR THE GOLDEN BOYS
Brazil have won gold in the men's volleyball. The game ended 3-0 (22-25, 28-26, 26-24). Italy couldn't come up with a response to the host's strong finish in every set.

At no point did the Italians really look like troubling Brazil, who will take great satisfaction out of claiming the medal they did not win in London, which was seen as a giant failure at home.

TIT FOR TAT
Neither team can pull away from the other. It's now 22-22. Que tenso!
The contrast in reactions is striking. The crowd falls completely silent every time Italy wins a point.

BACK TO BRAZIL
The hosts are leading 19-18 in the third set and the Italians are starting to look very nervous indeed.

BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME, CHAPS
Mongolia's coaches weren't left to strip for long before security ruined the show and they were escorted off the mats. They made sure to thank the crowd before leaving, though.

FINAL DAY FURY: MONGOLIAN COACHES PROTEST DECISION
In an interesting turn of events at the wrestling arena, coaches of Mongolian fighter Mandakhnaran Ganzorig have protested an officials decision that gave the bronze medal to Ikhtiyor Navruzov by stripping off their clothes.

The crowd were cheering the coaches on with shouts of 'Mon-go-lia, Mon-go-lia' before security removed them from the mats.

CLARESSA SHIELDS MAKES IT A DOUBLE

2-0 BRAZIL!
Italy capitulated at the end of the second set and Brazil took full advantage. Can the home team bring it home in straight sets?

BRAZIL v ITALY
Brazil have gone up 23-23 in the second set. Italy really need this set to stay in the game. While the USA's comeback earlier was fantastic, a comeback against a team with this crowd behind them seems impossible.

MOUNTAIN BIKING FINAL STANDINGS
About half of the riders are still out there racing but the leaders are already well over the finish line. Nino Schurter eased over the line to avenge his loss to Jaroslav Kulhavy in 2012. Kulhavy took silver while Spain's Carlos Coloma Nicolas won the hard fight for bronze.

FINAL DAY BOXING
There are some big fights on the card today. But it all starts with this one here as Claressa Shields aims to defend her Olympic middleweight title against Nouchka Fontijn.

SWISS MAN RIDING FOR GOLD
Schurter is running away with this and looks certain to upgrade his silver from London 2012 for gold in Rio.
