'I AM TRYING TO BE AMONG ALI AND PELE' - USAIN BOLT
Usain Bolt told Rio 2016 after his historic 200m win: "I don't need to prove anything else. What else can I do to prove to the world I am the greatest?
"I am trying to be one of the greatest. Be among (Muhammad) Ali and Pele. I hope after these Games I will be in that bracket.
"I ran hard around the turn. On the straight, my body didn't respond. I'm getting old."
BOLT THANKS BRAZILIAN CROWD
Usain Bolt celebrated to sounds of reggae after his 200m race at the Olympic Stadium. The triple 200m champion thanked the Brazilian crowd with a Brazil flag slung around his neck before making his way to the press.
He told the BBC: "I wasn't happy with the time and my body did not respond to be down the straight. But I'm getting older, so I am pleased to get the gold medal. That is the key thing.
"I didn't feel any extra pressure because I don't pay attention to the media before races. I just focus on what I need to do. I came out here and I get the job done."

BOLT MOMENTARILY FRUSTRATED AT 200M FINAL TIME
Bolt was visibily frustrated as he crossed the line ahead of the rest of the field. He knew more than anyone that it was himself against the clock, but unfortunately tonight he was also against the weather conditions.
There was dancing to follow, however, so all is well.

GOLD FOR BOLT BUT NO WORLD RECORD
Usain Bolt looked slightly tense as he ran 19.78 in damp conditions to add the second gold to his Rio 2016 collection. Canada's Andre De Grasse took silver with France's Christophe Lemaitre claiming bronze. The conditions must have really played their part as Bolt's time matches his semi-final time - which he achieved by basically walking after the 150m mark.
There's drizzly rain at the Olympic Stadium, but this crowd is expecting nothing less than a world record.
It's Bolt time...
MORE AMERICAN DOMINANCE ON THE TRACK

ASHTON EATON MAKES IT TWO GOLDS

WHAT A FINISH!
Norway and Russia are tied at 31-31 at the end of normal time. Both teams looked to have had it at times in that last minute, but somehow the game worthy of a final has ended level. A maximum of two five-minute periods coming up.
