A FAMILIAR FACE WATCHED LAST NIGHT'S BOXING
Undefeated boxing champion Floyd Mayweather was ringside last night 'scouting future boxing champions'. The American, who retired unbeaten at 49-0 in September, is now a promoter but has yet to sign any heavyweights under the Mayweather Promotions banner.

Might he find the next superstar of boxing at Rio 2016?

112 YEARS' OF WAITING IS COMING TO AN END
There hasn't been an Olympic medallist in golf since 1904. That's all about to change today as the men's strokeplay event comes to an end.

Currently top of the leaderboard is GB's Justin Rose, one shot ahead of Sweden's Henrik Stenson. Marcus Fraser of Australia and the USA's Bubba Watson also in the mix. With two holes-in-one, glorious weather and a spectacular setting, it's safe to say that Olympic golf is proving the sceptics wrong. All that's needed to end the debate is a thrilling climax today.

BOM DIA FROM RIO
It's the morning after a historic night and the start of what promises to be another unforgettable day. Some blue riband events will be settled this Sunday: the golfers are already out on the course for their last round, Andy Murray will be taking on Juan del Potro later in the men's singles final in the tennis, and there's the small matter of a certain Mr. Bolt defending his 100m title in the Olympic Stadium.

Plus we have some women's marathon action, the last day of fencing, cycling, gymnastics and much, more more. Stay tuned!
