BRAZILIAN GIRLS SHINE ON THE BEACH

Down at the Copacabana, Brazil's beach volleyball pair Larissa and Talita have beaten Swiss duo Nadine Zumkehr and Joana Heidrich in a close contest, prevaling 15-13 in the deciding set. That sends the Brazilian girls into the semi-finals and puts them one win away from a medal.

DEL POTRO TAKES SECOND SET!

What a superb fighting display this is from Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro. Despite wearing a permanent air of exhaustion, he finally makes his fourth set point count with a rasping drive down the line. We're all square.

Both saved by Murray! It's deuce.

Lovely passing forehand from Del Potro. Two set points!

An attempted Murray lob falls just long and it's 30-15 Del Potro...

And Murray has saved the game! But there's an even bigger one coming up. Del Potro is 5-4 ahead and he's serving for the set. This would make it 1-1.

We even saw a young lad in a Brazil shirt singing along to Argentina songs in the crowd there. Anything could happen here.

Murray has saved those two set points though...

Juan Martin del Potro is 5-3 ahead with two break points against Andy Murray in the second set of the men's singles tennis final... can he level the match up?

WRESTLING GOLD MEDAL NO.2

It's gone to Russia's Roman Vlasov in the men's 75kg. Congrats, big man.

CAVENDISH TAKES OMNIUM LEAD

Can Great Britain win another gold medal in track cycling today? There's poised to at the moment, after Mark Cavendish moved into first position in the men's omnium. A long way to go in this one though, with four of the six events still to come.

Del Potro has not given up yet. He's broken Andy Murray in the first game of the second set.

The first one is saved... BUT NOT THE SECOND! Murray makes a sensational backhand passing shot to clinch the first set 7-5.

Del Potro has already beaten Djokovic and Nadal at these Games; now he's going to have to do something even more heroic.

But Murray now has two set points...

At the Olympic Tennis Centre, Juan Martin del Potro is pushing defending champion Andy Murray all the way. Having recovered from a break down, the Argentine is serving to take the first set to a tie break...

MOLINA IS THE MAN

We have our first wrestling gold medallist of Rio 2016! Cuba's Ismael Borrero Molina has beaten Japan's Shinobu Ota in the men's Greco-Roman 59kg final, following up his victory in the same event in the 2015 world championships.
