BOM DIA, GENTE! WINTER HAS HIT RIO
Below is the view from Rio live blog's HQ this morning. Rain is never welcome in the marvellous city, but that's not stopping the fans from making their way to the Olympic Park!

THAT'S A WRAP
It's been another dramatic day at Rio 2016. More medals in the pool for Kathleen Ledecky and Katinka Hosszu, a stunning display by the USA women's artistic gymnastics team, a weightlifting world record, the first gold medals for France, Greece and Slovenia, another diving gold for China plus shock defeats for Serena Williams and the All Blacks.

But the evening, like so many others in Olympic Games history, belonged to Michael Phelps. Two more gold medals - bringing his total to 21 gold and 25 overall - underlined his status as king of the pool.

And he's not finished yet.

For this evening, however, we are. We'll meet you back here on an action-packed Wednesday for more Rio-Time Updates.
